Welcome to The Jade Forest!
The Jade Forest invites you to continue our tea journey together for another amazing tea session. It’s been a long week, ups and downs, good or bad, either way your mental cup is full and it’s time to let all of that go. Take a seat, breathe deep, talk to a stranger, and let the tea melt the week away.
To guide you into a peaceful present moment, Rising Red Lotus has chosen two teas from the the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian, China. The selection includes Shui Jin Gui “Golden Water Turtle” and Tie Luo Han “Iron Monk” two of the four famous Wuyi Rock Oolongs.
Our selected Shui Jin Gui “Golden Water Turtle” oolong was originally harvested in the Spring of 2017. This medium oxidized, charcoal roasted oolong has a long twisted dark dry leaf, and is very fragrant with a complex taste. This tea brews up a clear liquor with a reddish hue, a creamy texture, and a naturally sweet finish that lingers in your mouth and nose. Some tasting notes are sweet potato, caramel, apricot, peach, plums, vanilla, smoke, and ginger.
Tie Luo Han “Iron Arhat/Monk” is a rare varietal of Wu Yi Mountain Rock tea. Tie Luo Han is lightly processed, so the leaves are green with some brown, and the tea brews up a bright golden tea soup. Our selection was harvested in the Spring of 2015. This is a robust, nectar-like tea with a rich and complex flavor . Some tasting notes are butterscotch, dark chocolate, charcoal, sage and cherries.
See you soon.
